ABSTRACT

Under the grand blueprint of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, universities in Yunnan shoulder the important mission of promoting ethnic cultural exchanges and enhancing international cooperation and mutual understanding. Against this strategic backdrop, strengthening the cultivation of a sense of Chinese national community among university students holds significant ideological, cultural, and social value. To this end, universities in Yunnan should deeply trace the long historical context, firmly ground themselves in the current era, and further optimize cultivation pathways and enhance cultivation effectiveness on the basis of continuing to consolidate the roles of the "first classroom" in knowledge transmission and value guidance, as well as the "second classroom" in practical training and ability enhancement.
