The spirit of great creativity runs through the development of the Chinese nation for more than five thousand years. It is the source of strength to create historical glory and create miracles in the world. It also demonstrates the era style of self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement of the Chinese people in the new era. As the core field for spreading and promoting the spirit of creativity, ideological and political theory courses in universities provide rich materials for ideological and political education of college students. Effectively integrating the spirit of creativity into ideological and political theory courses in universities can not only promote the deepening of theoretical learning, but also contribute to the widespread promotion of the spirit of creativity and the growth of students' spiritual world. To achieve this goal, careful planning is needed to ensure that overall integration and precise integration complement each other, and complementary integration and expanded integration complement each other. At the same time, attention should be paid to interpreting the spirit of creation, interpreting historical creation cases, and strengthening value guidance to enhance the ideological depth and teaching effectiveness of ideological and political theory courses in universities, ensuring that the courses are both academic and practical guidance.
