ABSTRACT

This article aims to explore and practice the BTM (blended teaching mode) of university English based on OBE (Outcome-Based Education). It is hoped that this study can cope with the limitations of traditional teaching mode, meet the needs of students' individualized learning, and improve the quality and efficiency of university ELT (English language teaching). Firstly, this article introduces the present situation and challenges of university ELT, and expounds the theoretical background of OBE and its trend in education reform. Subsequently, the article clarifies the significance, purpose and core issue of the research, that is, to construct an OBE-based BTM of university English, so as to effectively improve students' English application ability and explore the evaluation method of its teaching effect. In this article, a detailed teaching practice scheme is designed, and the teaching mode is explored through online and offline mixed teaching methods combined with formative and summative evaluation methods. The research results show that this teaching model has achieved remarkable results in improving students' comprehensive English ability, enhancing their learning motivation and autonomous learning ability. The conclusion is that the OBE-based BTM of university English has broad application prospects and will inject new vitality into the reform of university ELT.
