Having diverse operations makes it possible for firms to distribute money among different sectors of the economy. Nonetheless, it also increases uncertainty in finance. This research begins with the question about the relationship between diverse activities and the management of financial risks. It identifies four most attractive forms of risk in that connection: deviations in investment decisions, magnification in the gap of liquidity, outflow of money from one industry to another, and hindrance to the flow of financial information. The authors illustrate that these risks strengthen each other through the internal market of capital, resulting in effects of non-linear cumulation. At a local level, it is impossible to control the general risk level. With reference to this idea, the authors propose investment decisions rules with a dynamic mechanism of assessment of the situation and stopping the entry into a market in case of an impending loss, a fund chain buffer system and forecasting of cash flow, and a cost management model based on responsibility centers. The four elements work in cooperation to create a full cycle of defense which embraces the stages of analysis of the situation, monitoring of the performance, and correction of the results.
