The purpose is to comprehensively and deeply discuss the legal practice of the Sino-Indian boundary dispute and the many challenges it faces, and to reveal the applicability and limitations of international law in resolving such cross-border territorial disputes through a detailed analysis of the practical application of the principles, rules and cases of international law in the Sino-Indian boundary dispute. This essay will provide practical reference and enlightenment for the further development and improvement of the international law system. Through the historical background and territorial claims of the Sino-Indian boundary dispute, this paper examines in detail the legal principles and rules of the international law concerning territorial disputes and their practice in the Sino-Indian boundary dispute.
