Radix Saposhnikovia is known as "the holy medicine for dispelling wind", and is widely used in the treatment of allergic diseases. Single drug, drug pair and compound prescription of Radix Saposhnikovia can exert antiallergic effects through multiple components, multiple targets and multiple pathways. The main mechanisms are to reduce IgE level, reduce mast cell degranulation and release of histamine, regulate immune and inflammatory factors, and correct Th1/Th2 balance. The research progress and mechanism of single herbal medicine, drug pair and compound prescription of Radix Saposhnikoviae in preventing and treating allergic diseases are summarized in order to provide theoretical support for clinical treatment.
